Not only does The Association of British Certification Bodies (ABCB) offer advice and guidance to their members, but they are, in their own  words, “the recognised voice of accredited certification bodies in the UK representing the views of its members to UKAS, IAF, EA and Government to name a few”.

Only certification bodies (CB) that are accredited by UKAS or another recognized national accreditation body, or that are actively seeking national accreditation, can be members of ABCB.

We are proud that Forefront became a member of ABCB in 2019.

As we are a relatively young CB, it has been invaluable for us to have their support and guidance. They have undoubtedly helped us feel confident that we are adhering to the standards required by UKAS of a CB.  ABCB assisted us with developing a new procedure, which we needed when COVID-19 first hit and the country went into lockdown. This meant we could continue to offer the same level of service as we did before, albeit differently, but still with that all important approval from UKAS.
